Newhall Remediation Project

Community Advisory Panel

In April 2002 the Olin Corporation formed a Community Advisory Panel (CAP) to serve as a way for Olin and the community to talk with each other about the company’s plans to study the extent of pollution in the residential areas of the Newhall neighborhood and to discuss ways pollution could be cleaned-up. The Newhall Community Advisory Panel was made up of residents and Hamden Middle School teachers and parents. It met about a dozen times from April 2002 up to the final meeting of June 18, 2003.
